Okay, so I skim read this article... The premise appears that a group of Baptists -- the "Baptist" part isn't really important -- a group of ten or so Christian rescue workers... or missionaries.. or whatever -- was busted trying to take about thirty Hatian kids out of the country.
They said "Oh, we weren't kidnapping them... we were saving them... we were being good Christians. Idiots!
Let's take this shit at face value... let's assume that their hearts were in the right place. They still were fucking idiots. They tried to save these thirty-odd souls by moving them from their family and homes, effectively coercing the parents at their moment of greatest weakness. Sigh.
How about staying to rebuild? How about demonstrating God's love through service? Oh no. Instead, let's fly down there, grab thirty or so kids, and zip on back home. Oh yeah. That'll make a good name for Christ.
